Pistoia Food Tour with Wine, Pasta and Gelato

This Pistoia food tour is a three-and-a-half-hour walk through the historic centre, led by a local guide who grew up in the town. It starts in the market square, where a bottega that locals use for their daily shopping serves as the first stop, and it keeps to family-run places instead of the busy spots.

The tastings come one after the other, with drinks included throughout:

• Pippi, a biscuit-like Pistoiese speciality that has been baked here since the Middle Ages
• fresh Tuscan olive oil in a shop on the market square
• three wines chosen with a sommelier, with a cheese and charcuterie board
• a spritz with pappa al pomodoro, a dish typical of the region
• handmade pasta and fresh focaccia with another glass of wine in a bistro
• a scoop of handmade gelato to finish

The group is capped at 12 guests, the minimum age is 12, and the guide tells the stories of the town between one stop and the next.
