Description
The house of the Pistoian artist Fernando Melani (1907-1985) is a unique example of a space where the artist's entire artistic experience and his journey of research through the main art movements of the second half of the 20th century are reflected in perfect harmony, from Arte Povera to Conceptual Art and Minimal Art.
In the different rooms, a large number of works occupy the ceilings, walls, and floors, according to the arrangement that Melani himself had given them from their creation. The visit among piles of sedimented materials, experiments on metals, sheet metal and iron wires hanging from the ceiling beams, is an internal and suggestive journey along the traces of the thought of this extraordinary protagonist of contemporary art.
